7 February 2021
Good morning, everyone,
I am sure that you, and the children, are looking forward to returning to school tomorrow, 8th February.
As per the announcement from our Premier, Mr McGowan, the following will be in place for next week.
Teachers and staff members will be required to wear a mask. However, masks can be removed when teachers are teaching.
Primary students are not required to wear a mask.
Visitors, including parents, to the school must wear a mask at all times. They must also adhere to the 2 square metre distancing rule and practice physical distancing.
A registry of visitors will be kept.
With this, the following will take place for the coming week.
On the first day - gates will open at 8:30am and parents may take their children to the undercover cover. Class teachers will be there to greet you and I am asking that children stay in the allocated area with their teacher. Each teacher will have a class list which we will use for you to sign in - this will cover the need for a registry being maintained.
Unfortunately, with the hallways, we cannot adhere to the 2 square metre rule, so for this week, we are asking that parents do not come into the classrooms or hallways.
At the end of the school day, parents may come into the grass area outside the main building (following physical distancing requirements) and students will meet you there.
Kindy/Pre-Primary parents may assemble in the undercover area and the teacher will bring your children out to you.
As we've shown over 2020, we have managed and followed all requirement as requested. If we all adhere to the directions given to us by the Premier, it is hoped that we can go back to normal school arrangements from Week 3 onwards. Please remember to contact the class teacher if you would like to arrange a meeting on an individual basis during this time. We still plan to run our Parent Information Sessions in Week 3, but these will be spread over the week to cover all classes, and will take place in the school library. A timetable will be sent out in the coming week.
I'm looking forward to a great 2021 - and because of you, our parents, I know that this will happen.
See you at the front gate tomorrow morning.
Stephanne Dann, Principal.
