Interschool Cross Country
Just imagine … a select group of only nine (9) runners from Belmont Primary School could compete against the six other primary schools with much larger teams and come home with a medal!

On an extremely cold and overcast Friday in August, 9 students from Belmont Primary School participated in the BASA Interschool Cross Country Carnival at Tomato Lake. The team from Year 3 through to Year 6 was:

-
Aalyiah
-
Rankine
-
Jay
-
Aiva
-
Angelina
-
Reinier
-
Egee
-
Abhyudaya
-
Sipivishta
Amongst fierce and ferocious competition each of our students demonstrated perseverance and determination to complete the course with finesse and style. It was wonderful to have Angelina’s and Reinier’s parents there to cheer them on. Reinier’s mum went above and beyond the call of duty, to run with Reinier in the final stages of his race. “Go mum!” Reinier was as proud of her, as she was of him!

Our solo medallist on the day was: Aiva who came a creditable 4th in the Individual Placings of the Year 4 Girls race. Congratulations Aiva!!

Our sincere thanks must go to Mr Hevron, for his patience, taxing training sessions, encouragement and
organisational abilities. Thank you!!!
